St. Joseph’s Catholic Church
Sea Isle City, NJ

Painting by Pearce was proud to be selected to work with the highly professional team of KCBA Architects from Hatfield, PA., and Stanker&Galetto, the General Contractor for the project, from Vineland, NJ.

The KCBA Architects did an outstanding job designing the new Church to compliment and blend in with the original 1880’s era Church.

The Stanker&Galetto Team took those drawings and built the strongest and most energy efficient building on the island to date. No detail was over-looked and all construction schedules were met.

The exterior shake siding is a fiber cement product that was pre-finished at the factory of “James Hardie”. All of the exterior trim and panel inserts were filled, caulked, and finished with two coats of PPG “Timeless”; a state of the art modified acrylic urethane satin enamel. The shingles on the outside of the Church were painted white with a steel blue trim to match the existing Church.

The interior wood and metal surfaces were primed and finished with two coats of Benjamin Moore “Impervo”, an alkyd satin enamel.

The project began in the fall of 2010 and was completed in December of 2011. The 18,100 sqft Church seats up to 1,100 people.
